How to Earn Money from Blogging. Again

You may have seen my post yesterday. Well wouldn’t you like to have some easy answers? Can you make money from blogging? Who knows?
Here are a few starters I have “gleaned” from various authoritative sources and me.
- Get started and keep at it. The first 6 months are the hardest (so I am told!) I have cetainly had a hard couple of months and I will report back on this one. I can tell you though that it is starting to work…slowly. I have people on my list now that didn’t know me a month ago,so something is working.
- Find something you love to do. I love writing so that part comes easy, I have fallen in love with the intricacies of the internet marketing niche. Call me sad,but if you can find your passion, you will have a much better chance of making it. Obviously it has to be a passion that others share and not something so escoteric,its off the chart. No point in writing about knitting coats for rabbits,WAIT, I might have found a niche there. No seriously, others have to share your passion or you will be talking to yourself. A bit like me really.
- Don’t expect too much in the short term. You have to work hard to get your blog noticed out there. It wont happen overnight.
- There is no get rich scheme. You wont get to do this in your night apparal sitting at your kitchen table. Well you might eventually but I would put your pyjamas away,sit up straight and concentrate!
- Build up traffic as much as you can and keep doing it. Unfortunately for those of you still in your PJs, this is hard work. You have to keep writing, social networking, reaching out to others and creating content on a daily basis. There are a lot of traffic building techniques that I will share with you.
- Get used to the technology.This is one I really struggle with and I have daily battles with my FTP (whats that when its at home?) and trying to learn to video,well,I ask you. I am going to create a video on how to video. I havent found anything that covers this for the technophobe like me,but believe me I have fought that battle and I am winning!
- To advertise or not,that is the question. The jury is out on this one. You will see that there are no adverts on this page because I havent actively gone down that route but I am goign to explore it and you will be the first to know!
